• Prayed for a lady with cancer - she was told that she wouldn't live if she did not get a bone marrow transplant.  While I was praying for her, she felt heat all over her body.  The following Monday, her doctor said she was normal, and the second opinion said she did not need the bone marrow transplant and that she was told "just stay on the medication", Praise God!
• Prayed for a man with cancer - I prayed exactly what his problem was before he told me, this reassured him God knows what he is going through and will help him through it.

The purpose of Defending the Faith Ministry is to glorify the Biblical Jesus Christ and witness the good news of the gospel to Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Jude wrote that we are to defend the faith, once for all delivered to the Saints (Jude 1:3). Too often the church is poorly prepared and equipped to have a fruitful dialogue with Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. While we love the Mormon and Jehovah’s Witness people, their teaching is leading people away from the worship of the one true God and tragically sending them to an eternal separation from him in torment. We need a war on error!!! If Mormonism or Jehovah’s Witnesses are the “true faith”, they can stand the test of investigation. But if their teaching is false, it will collapse. The same test is also true of Biblical Christianity. I ask that you listen to some of my messages, check out my top 10 websites on each group, and respond to my thought or question of the month called “War on error.” I look forward to hearing from you and remember we need a relationship with the Biblical Jesus to be saved, not man made religion. Jesus said in John 8:36 “If the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed.”

SPARE Ministries was created in response to Matthew 25: 35-40

³⁷ “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? ³⁸ Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? ³⁹ When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ ”

We believe that the provision of information and services to groups in our society who might otherwise be neglected is representative of the teachings of Jesus Christ. As Christians, the board and staff of SPARE are bound together to answer this call through the establishment of SPARE Ministries’ programs.

Trish will also be giving testimony of a miracle that took place at Mission Viejo Hospital in California when she was asked to take Becki to the hospital by the Chaplain of the Police Department to pray over a man with 5 tumors in his brain.  This is not to mention other miracles along this journey that she may also share as we talk.  Trish is also on the board of Mighty God Ministries.  You will certainly know that you have been in the presence of God when you listen to her heart and life that truly brings glory to God.  If you miss this interview, there will be a link soon after the live broadcast of the archived copy that will be available to listen to in place of the "live Boradcast link.

Sharon had to learn the hard, lonely way what it was to have an “active” faith in God. One of the largest hurdles she overcame was on how to give her insecurities over to God. He took her through the darkest of situations, those very things she feared, proving to her that there is nothing to fear when you are in the hollow of His hand. God called her out from her secure surroundings, leaving everyone she knew and loved behind to go where He would lead them to. Sharon wants to share the awesome faithfulness of God despite the darkest situations anyone can find themselves in. Some of the dark valleys God led her through included having had six miscarriages, no children, and the escape out of her experiences with the occult as a teen. She was healed several times from rehabilitating illnesses. Sharon has been through various situations where her life was in danger yet learned to put her faith into action and trust an all unfailing God. She grew up in South Africa in a small town yet finds herself planted in one of the largest cities in the world. She has found herself alone and felt abandoned several times only to be rescued over and over by God Himself. Sharon brings God’s message of Hope, healing and deliverance for all who want to live the promised life of fulfillment. The Word of God comes alive when Sharon communicates the love and faithfulness of God. She believes that all can live in the constant peace of God which surpasses all understanding. This album has been a lifelong dream for this  up and coming artist.  She has been writing inspirational songs for over 30 years with these twelve uniquely written songs being highlighted here.  Her Producer, Dwayne Russell helped every step of the process on this album and pushed Jeannie to excel to be her best on each and every song and added much of his own creativity. The sounds of the mandolin on the song,” Precious Blood,” by Mike Stephens will cause you to sing along with the catchy chorus, and the song, “Amazed” will also be just as memorable. The song, “Rain on me” is very melodic., with cello and acoustic guitar played skillfully by Jeannie’s niece Erin Mulvihill and also Philip Bardowell. The last song on the album, “Hungry Heart” features an African drummer named Steven Osi with sounds similar to some of the songs from “The Lion King” that make you want to dance…

Cynth Martinez, Founder of non-profit military outreachs of Comfort, Hope, and Promise accepts military’s “Spirit of Hope Award” during special ceremt the Pentagon in Arlington VA on October 28^th, 2008.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2008 Cynthia Martinez, founder and president of Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise based in San Clemente, California was honored at a Pentagon ceremony with the Marine Corps 2007 “Armed Forces Spirit of Hope Award” for her selfless contributions to the improvement of the quality of life for Marines and their families.  Martinez, unknowingly competing against deserving nominees from other commands worldwide, was nominated for the award by Lt. Col. A. McClean II, Commander, 3D Air Assault Amphibian Battalion and Sgt. Maj. Michael Kufchak.

The Spirit of Hope Award honors Bob Hope’s values of duty, honor, loyalty, commitment, integrity and selfless dedication, according to the award’s originator, Michael Fagin.  The award recognizes individuals or organizations who have “selflessly contributed an extraordinary amount of time, talent or resources to significantly enhance the quality of life of service members around the world.”

Under the banner of the United Service Organizations, Bob Hope gave generously and tirelessly to American service members, traveling the world to entertain them wherever they were stationed. He began his five-decade mission with his first USO show in 1941 at March Field, California and concluded with a USO tour entertaining forces in the Persian Gulf in 1990.  In November 1997, Bob Hope was designated the first and only Honorary Veteran of the U.S. Armed forces, an honor bestowed on him by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Bill Clinton.  Mr. Hope passed away in 2003, just two months after his 100^th birthday.

In a Joint ceremony at the Pentagon, Maj. Gen. Timothy R. Larson, USMC-Ret. presented Mrs. Martinez with the prestigious award following remarks by Mr. Harvey Barnum, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Reserve Affairs.  Mr. Barnum read from the Award Nomination summary written by Lt. Col.  McClean and Sgt. Maj. Kufchak:  “Cynthia Martinez has said that her mission is to bring comfort and support to all deployed Marines and Sailors, and their families.  Her initiative and drive are demonstrated in her founding of ‘Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise,’ an organization dedicated to supporting deployed personnel and their families.  

Since the summer of 2005, Mrs. Martinez has worked tirelessly to coordinate welcome-home events, holiday parties and other celebrations for Marines and Sailors and their families.  She organized entertainment, food, prizes, activities and gifts for thousands of people.  Her events provided much-needed relaxation and social opportunities for deployed Marines and Sailors and their families, and truly created moments that will never be forgotten. Cynthia’s devotion and dedication have significantly added to the quality of life of Marines and their families.  She has shown support and reassured spouses during uncertain times.  She has made great personal sacrifices so that military families may receive first-class treatment during holidays.  She is indeed a rare example of selflessness in today’s society.”

Immediately upon receiving The Spirit of Hope Award Medallion, Mrs. Martinez was then further honored with a bronze lapel pin bearing a miniature of the bas-relief of Bob Hope, presented by Mr. Hope’s granddaughter, Miranda Hope-Smith.

Don F. Wiegand of Wiegand Studios, St. Louis Missouri created and sculpted the life-sized bas-relief of Bob Hope, which is widely recognize as the legacy icon of the beloved actor-comedian and the enduring meaning of his work.  The Wiegand Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit organization which administers the Spirit of Hope Award program.  Bas-reliefs, minted by Medallic Art Company of Dayton, Nevada are gifted to each recipient of The Spirit of Hope Award.

Mrs. Martinez and her organization have adopted several battalions of Marines and their families from Camp Pendleton, and are gearing up to send out “care packages” to the Marines serving in Iraq as well as providing appreciation luncheons here at home for their families, including gifts and door prizes. Those interested in supporting these efforts may contact her by phone at (949) 637-7615 or

April 2010 : Becki received a call to go and pray for a man with a brain injury and had been in the hospital for 15 days and on his death bed in a coma. The doctors said if he makes it, he may never walk or talk. After she prayed for him the resurrected power of Christ Jesus over him. His body jumped and shook the bed. His eyes opened and he was forever changed. He came back and the next day was talking, winking at the nurses and getting out of bed! Glory be to God! Within two weeks he left the hospital.
